He has served in Directorship roles for two of the oldest cannabis industry associations in Colorado and coordinated campaign efforts for Amendment 64 - winning decisive victories across Southern Colorado for Regulating Marijuana like Alcohol. He is an expert witness in Colorado on marijuana compliance, policy, and regulation and helped craft legislation for half a decade at the Colorado capitol.
Mark has served on multiple rule making workgroups for the State of Colorado in Taxation, Edible Safety, Multi-Topic issues, Record-keeping, Administration and Discipline, and Responsible Vendor Training. Rules and policies which many States and Nations still adopt and adhere to today.
Leveraging his experience and multiple language skills, Mark served as the Government Consultant for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico - developing and implementing the island's regulations, medical marijuana enforcement division, application processes, inspection protocols, and training.
In Illinois, he submitted 23 applications on behalf of social equity applicants and, currently, he serves on the NCIA's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and its Policy Council representing the interests of people most impacted by the war on cannabis around the world.
